Now that Simmons has officially joined the Los Angeles Clippers, the Australian pro basketball player is bidding adieu to his bright and airy Brooklyn condo — with spectacular city views.

Listed for a hefty $16,995,000, the condo is in one of DUMBO’s most exclusive new developments, the Olympia, the sail-shaped 33-story residential building that’s also home to Brooklyn’s priciest condo (priced at $19.5M).

And Ben Simmons isn’t the only big name to take up residence in the building.

Other notable residents at Olympia DUMBO include musician Joe Jonas, as well as songwriting duo Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, best known for penning Frozen’s Let It Go.

The 5,261-square-foot condo has 5 bedrooms, 5 full baths, and 2 half-baths, with each space exuding refined elegance.

Listed for $16,995,000 with Monica Novo of Douglas Elliman, the unit opens up to gorgeous views of the Manhattan skyline, New York Harbor, and the Statue of Liberty.

    Designer interiors and bespoke touches

Expertly designed by Barette Widell and Christina Boschetti, the duo behind Widell + Boschetti — a boutique design firm based in Moorestown, New Jersey — the interiors are bright and light-filled thanks to the expansive windows.

Luxurious and playful accents like designer light fixtures and creative art pieces add notes of interest, while bespoke touches include heated floors, power shades and curtains, all controlled by a Savant home automation system.

Fittingly, the primary bedroom has a dedicated shoe closet

The primary bedroom suite is its own retreat, featuring an oversized, custom walk-in dressing room and — very on brand for Simmons — a dedicated walk-in shoe closet.

Simmons bought the unit for $14 million when he started playing for the Nets

The Australian player, who previously played for the 76ers and Brooklyn Nets before joining the Los Angeles Clippers, paid approximately $14 million for the unit back in 2023 when he first started with the Nets.

While we don’t know where Simmons is setting up shop in Los Angeles after his recent move, the NBA star owned a Hidden Hills mansion (purchased in 2021) that was auctioned off just last year, in 2024.

The condo is part of Olympia DUMBO

One of Brooklyn’s most hyped new residential buildings, Olympia DUMBO was created by Fortis Property Group in collaboration with Hill West Architects and the design firm Workstead.

The exclusive building has only 76 units and over 38,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities, spread over 3 levels.

Known for its countless amenities and sweeping views

These include a fitness center, yoga room, boxing gym, a 60-foot indoor lap pool, private locker rooms, sauna, game lounge, and a two-lane bowling alley.

Outdoor amenities include an outdoor pool and hot tub, a ship-inspired playground and water park for children, cabanas, BBQ areas, and a full-sized tennis court overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge.
